A Little About Mrs. Wescott!
I was born and raised in Rock Falls. I attended Nelson Elementary School kindergarten through eighth grade. I ran cross country and track in high school as well as played basketball. I attended Sauk Valley Community College on a running scholarship for 2 years. Believe it or not, my first year of college was dedicated to accounting and business! However, after receiving a job as a lifeguard and swim instructor, I knew instantly that I was destined to work for children. Once I graduated community college, I was accepted to Illinois State University where I graduated in May of 2013. Within a month of graduating I was fortunate enough to receive a chance as a sixth grade teacher in the Prairie Central School District. I taught there four years and it was wonderful! The last two years I coached track and field. I really enjoyed getting to work with kids outside of the classroom! My husband and I got married in July of 2014 and then bought our first home. A few months later we welcomed two fur-babies into our home, Jazzy and Major! We spend a lot of time out in the community at sporting events and eating out at restaurants. He loves mexican food and I love chinese food! Now we are moving back to Rock Falls and are so excited to be back in this wonderful community! Science is a huge passion of mine and I can't wait to share that with all of you! Please don't ever hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. |
